Organised by the Aston Centre for Europe, together with the European Commission,
Our conference will bring together politicians, bankers, journalists, academics and seasoned Brussels watchers in order to examine two core issues, as follows. First, we will investigate what the potential scenarios are for the outcome of the eurozone crisis in the short- and long-term and what the risks are for the UK, both economically and politically. Second, we will examine how Britain’s relationship with its European partners is evolving in the wake of the UK veto of an EU-wide treaty to resolve the eurozone crisis, and the decision of the remaining Member States to push ahead without Britain.
The event will be held at the Aston Business School (ABS), Aston University, from 4.00pm to 7.15 pm and will be followed by a drinks reception. Registration will be open from 3.30 pm. I attach a map of the university campus for your information.
The event is free of charge and open to all. A registration form is enclosed for you to complete and return to: [email protected]
