Dr. James Arputharaj WILLIAMS currently supports the projects on Gun Control supported by UN ODA- Office of Disarmament Affairs. He had served asCEO/Country Directorfor over 21 years with leading Donors such as Aide et Action. Oxfam, Lutheran World Relief, South Asia Partnership Internationaland KNH-Kindernothilfeduring the conflicts in Sri Lanka, South Sudan and Afghanistan. He has PhD degree in Social Policy from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, PG Diploma in Social Welfare & International Relations(Stockholm).Founder- Director Asian youth Centre, an interfaith President, South Asian Federalists youth NGO in 7 countries.
James has been passionate aboutinternational peace, justice and controls arms issues. He had developed a model for community-based peace building. He was a NGO speaker at the I UN conference on small arms and light weapon held at UN, NY in 2001 and Review conferenceon small arms in NY and ATT in Geneva 2024 representing WFM. He hastravelled on work to 54 countries and has several books to his credit including “Small Arms-Big Problem�.

To bring institutional stability to the WFM in terms of diversifying resources and promoting innovative programmes. Focus on R2P and prevent conflicts
