Philippe Legrain observes that 900 million Europeans, Americans and Japanese will not accept being outvoted by 1.3 billion Chinese (Books, 21 April). Has he stopped to wonder why 1.3 billion Chinese should accept being outvoted by 900 million Europeans, etc?
