After the excitement of the European elections, the approval of the constitution text and the nomination of a candidate for president of the Commission, normal politics can now return to the European Union.
The first big issue raised is sugar. The agricultural policy applied to every other crop has been subject to considerable change over the last few years. Now it is sugar’s turn.
